Fashion and Technology: Intro to eTextiles

Come explore the exciting intersection of fashion and technology. This beginner's workshop will give you some background on e-textiles and wearable computing. We'll then dive in to a low-cost light-up wristband project that you can easily replicate in your own classroom. This workshop is geared towards teachers in grades 4-8. No experience necessary.

STEM Teacher, Northwood Junior High School
Bill Steinbach is a middle-school STEM teacher and technology leader at Northwood Junior High School in Highland Park. He has presented at both the ICE conference and NICE MiniCon. He currently runs a district-wide robotics competition for grades 4-8 and sponsors broadcasting and Minecraft clubs at his school. Bill has been recognized as a 2013 Siemens STEM Fellow, 2014 Discovery Education DENny award winner and a Google Certified Teacher.
