Copy of Huh??? Copyright Explained

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Did you ever see a picture online and wonder can I use this? Did you know that as soon as your students create something it instantly has a copyright? Do you need to ask permission to use copyrighted materials in your classroom? Do your students? Did you know that until earlier this year the song Happy Birthday was under copyright? These questions and more will be answered. This session will provide you an introduction to copyright in your classroom and teaching it to your students. You will leave this session with an idea of how copyright affects you, creative commons and public domain resources, and you will be ready to teach about copyright tomorrow.
