Unleash the Power of Open: An Introduction to OER

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Open Educational Resources (OER) are gaining popularity in K-12 education. Access to free, high quality resources can be highly beneficial for districts dealing with curriculum changes and challenging budgets. In this hands-on session you will explore the new world of OER - learn what they are, where to find them, and how you and your students can take advantage of the OER movement. You will also learn about the Illinois Open Educational Resource (IOER) searchable database, an online platform designed to help Illinois educators find, curate, organize, and share high quality standards-aligned OER. In this session we will explore how you can use the powerful features in IOER to support collaboration and share resources with fellow teachers, parents, and students.
