Increasing Chrome Accessibility with Apps and Extensions

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Looking for ways to address the learning and accessibility needs of your students when using Google Chrome and Chromebooks? This session will explore free and subscription options that can be added to Google Drive and the Chrome browser to increase student independence and engagement with reading, writing, and research tasks. See how Learning Ally, Bookshare Web Reader, and Don Johnston’s Snap & Read can open up the world of reading to students with print disabilities. Learn how easy it is to provide in-the-moment access to worksheets, quizzes and tests to all your learners by uploading or sharing documents that can be completed with the added supports of text-to-speech, word prediction, and even speech recognition. Include students with more significant literacy challenges in literacy activities through the use of Crick software apps now available in the Chrome Store.
