Teacher
Bloomingdale, IL
I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with endorsements in Language Arts and Social Sciences. I concluded my master's degree program in July 2016 in Educational Technology at Aurora University with a technology specialist endorsement. I have a passion for infusing technology within classrooms to prepare 21st century learners.

Currently at Erickson Elementary, I work as a 3rd grade teacher. In the classroom, I have experience teaching with 1:1 chromebook devices while implementing Google Apps for Education, including Google Classroom as a Learning Management System. Embedding technology into my curriculum has helped me create deeper learning opportunities for students. My certifications as a Google Educator, as well as my experiences at several ICE conferences and EdTech Summits, ensures my excitement and commitment to contributing positive technology based curricular advancements and interactions between students and staff. In addition, I have led professional development for staff during institute days, faculty meetings, teacher panels, as well as lunch and learn opportunities. My experience with technology and classroom teaching further fosters my ability to connect with students and staff while enhancing my understanding of the functioning aspects of a school.
